Compared to film-based X-rays of the past, digital X-rays require less radiation and are available instantly to be viewed on our chairside monitors. Then a hygienist will clean your teeth, check your gums for periodontal disease, and give you helpful tips on effective brushing and flossing. Dr. Altizer will then evaluate your bite and dentition, paying special attention to your soft tissues for signs of oral cancer and checking old dental work, like fillings. He will use his findings and X-rays to determine a treatment plan that will accomplish your goals for oral healthcare and give you a smile you’ll be proud to share with the world.
